St. Teresa of Avila on Humility

"Humility says St. Teresa of Avila must always be doing its work, like a bee making honey in the hive. Without humility all will be lost."
St. Teresa of Avila-Carmelite Saint and Doctor of the Church

(The importance of humility is recognized by many of the saints. Mary was humble and that humility and prayerfulness made her the perfect vehicle to bring forth the Savior. John the Baptist was humble as many of the great saints were. So humility is prized by God.) Be humble but be confident!!

Hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour."

True Mystery, True God, True Beauty

"The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science."

St. Therese's Little Way of Trust and Surrender

"I feel that my mission is about to begin, my mission to make God loved as I love Him, to teach souls my little way." These words were spoken by St. Therese of Lisieux, the Little Flower, a few months before she died. When her biological sister, Mother Agnes of Jesus, asked her about her little way, Therese replied, "It is the way of spiritual childhood, the way of trust and absolute surrender."

During these days of Lent, may you come to love Jesus the way Therese did, and have the trust in God that she had.

St. Francis of Assisi-Praises of God

The Praises of God
"You are love, You are wisdom
You are humility, You are endurance,
You are rest, You are peace,
You are joy and gladness,
You are justice and moderation,
You are all our riches,
And You suffice for us."
St. Francis of Assisi

It is good to give God the praise and adoration that is due to God. St. Francis had much to be grateful for, much reason to give God praise. St. Francis found his peace in God.

Need Prosperity or More Blessings? Try This Prayer.......

The Prayer of Jabez
"There was a man named Jabez, who was the most respected member of his family. His mother had given him the name Jabez because his birth had been very painful. But Jabez prayed to the God of Israel, 'Bless me God and give me much land. Be with me and keep me from anything evil, that might cause me pain.' And God gave him what he prayed for." (And God will give us what we pray for too, because we are striving for holiness and goodness and we will be blessed for our efforts! Amen!)
(1 Chronicles 4: 9-10)
